belated update from June 10 that I never posted π:
Sitting at my makeshift gate at the airport close to Blantyre, I get to reflect on the incredible 3 month adventure that is slowly coming to an end. Time flew, to say the least. I was introduced to the “Warm Heart of Africa” by the amazing staff and volunteers of Project Peanut Butter. I will never forget some of the tough interactions I encountered and how my perspective changed after each one. Though I had unexpected comfort in our house, our field/clinic work was incredibly eye-opening and humbling. I knew I would come home with a different perspective, but I am also coming home with a new appreciation of the people in society who work so hard without recognition. It’s the little experiences that made my time in Africa special. At the moment my brain is not entirely functioning as I prepare for my trip to Europe, so that’s all for now! Bye Malawi, you will be missed βπΌοΈ
P.S. I have way too many pictures to post. Random picture blog posts coming up!
P.P.S. My parents and I traveled to Prague, Austria, and Switzerland, and I am back home now! Prepping for a new job starting early August β€οΈ
