Currently sitting at my gate at SFO, ready to start boarding in an hour or so. Made it through security with little trouble, go me! I will be transporting a duffel bag of supplies for PPB admin, so I essentially I am responsible for two (checked, luckily)~50 lb bags + a very packed, very heavy backpack. For those of you who missed the Target excitement, I am bringing 3 months worth of trail mix, nuts, granola bars, etc. to tide me over during long clinic days. And those items are HEAVY. Stay tuned for exciting updates after picking up said bags at baggage claim in Malawi after 30 hours of travel 🙂 Bittersweet to leave home but excited to get my hands dirty! My grad cap was a fitting representation of my work in Malawi, and since I never really posted any photos of it, here it is! “Let food be thy medicine -Hippocrates” With a little Italian sass of course 😉
